A checklist that does the maths
Most weddings pass through the same stations: set the budget, book the venue, send the save-the-dates, the invitations, the seating plan, the place cards. “Checklist” adds these tasks to your list, with dates counted back from your wedding day: the venue just under a year ahead, the invitations four months ahead, the seating plan one month ahead.
So if you are getting married in four months, you are not met by a wall of overdue tasks. Whatever should, by the calendar, already be done is given two weeks from today. And whatever you have already entered yourselves stays as it is.
Your own tasks in seconds
Type a title, press Enter, done. A due date and a priority are optional. The list sorts itself: overdue first, then Today, Tomorrow, This week and Later. So when you open it you see what is next, not everything at once.
Share it out rather than doing it all yourselves
Nobody plans a wedding alone. Assign a task to your maid of honour, your best man or your parents. The person is notified, and under “Mine” everyone sees only their own tasks. Who belongs to the planning team and what they may see is up to you.
In your own calendar
You can subscribe to due tasks and the wedding’s appointments, from the venue viewing to the tasting, in Apple Calendar, Google Calendar or any other calendar app. Then your phone reminds you without you opening the app.
And the day itself?
What happens when on the wedding day does not belong in the task list but in the schedule: a timeline of blocks with durations and people in charge, which works out its own times. It is part of Wedding Buddy too, like the guest list, the seating chart and the budget, which many of the checklist’s tasks point to.
